Peab builds new student center in Linköping

Peab has signed a contract with Akademiska Hus AB to build a new student center in Linköping. The contract is worth SEK 327 million.

According to the contract Peab and Akademiska Hus together with Linköping University will build a new student center that will hold student services, a library, classrooms, conference rooms, a café, restaurant and offices. The building, which will be around 15,000 m2, will be constructed at Campus Valla in Linköping.

In order to make the building energy efficient the student center will have solar panels on the roof.

The building is intended to be a hub for the university, a place where all student services and course information will available to students.

The project has already begun and is expected to be completed in the spring of 2019.

The project was order registered in the first quarter of 2017.
