Peab rebuilds Malmo’s northern entrance

Peab has been contracted to carry out a reconstruction of interchange Spillepengen at Malmo's northern entrance and exit. The client is Gatukontoret, City of Malmo and the contract amounts to SEK 179 million.

The project aims to increase the capacity and safety at North Harbour in Malmo. The contract includes the design and construction of a new traffic solution with separated levels. It also includes building a 371-meter long bridge on the Västkustvägen direction over the roundabout to ease traffic flow to Malmo's harbor area.

The project also includes rebuilding of Spillepengsvägen and approach roads to and from North Harbour.
The project will be reported in the fourth quarter of 2013.
