PERTH, AUSTRALIA - Peak Well Systems (“Peak”), a leading specialist in the design and development of advanced downhole tools for well intervention, is pleased to announce that it has extended its range of ISO 14310:2008 V3 validation grade SIMPLUSplugs with the addition of a new 7” Retrievable Bridge Plug to cover 23# - 26# tube casing.

Testing of the new product was completed at Peak’s state-of-the-art testing facilities in Perth (Australia) and, as with all of Peak’s ISO validated plugs, was independently witnessed by third-party certifying authority, Det Norske Veritas.

The SIMPLUSRetrievable Bridge Plug is an expandable barrier that creates a reliable and high performance downhole seal in fluid and temperature cycling environments. The key challenge in developing this new product was to engineer a new seal element that would provide the expansion required in order to reliably seal in larger diameter light weight tubing whilst maintaining the low setting forces common to the rest of the SIMPLUSrange. The 7” SIMPLUSPlug was also re-designed to accommodate this new sealing element and a conversion kit is available for existing plugs.

The new 7” SIMPLUSPlug will be of particular interest to oil operators and service providers in the Middle East where a high percentage of wells utilise this lighter weight casing.

Peak’s SIM and SIMPLUSrange is available for sale or rental through its Technology Centres and Rental hubs worldwide.
