ECO Tech has partnered with Polygiene to introduce Polygiene Permanent Odor Control Technology to its work gloves. The partnership with ECO Tech gives Polygiene a strong foothold into a new market category –safer-to-touch, antibacterial work gloves – not only in the Korean market, but worldwide.

”ECO Tech is one of the largest manufacturers of work gloves in Korea, and our collaboration is important to Polygiene. Our partnership secures Polygiene’s position as the market leader in odor control for workwear while reaching out to new customer segments,” says Christian von Uthmann, CEO at Polygiene.

The partnership between ECO Tech and Polygiene was officially launched at a ceremony in Yangjoo City, Korea, on June 12, 2017.

One of the largest work glove manufacturers in Korea, ECO Tech is certified according to ISO 9001 quality management standards and ISO 14001 environmental management standards. The company pioneered ECO friendly gloves, which are free of dimethylformamide (DMF) and silicon, organic compounds that are prohibited in the EU, the US and Korea since January, 2015.

ECO Tech also patented the innovative concept of using polyuria-coated gloves instead of using gloves with DMF and silicon.

As its name implies, ECO Tech sees its mission to develop more ECO-friendly products continuously. This year ECO Tech developed cut-resistance, yarn-only knitted work gloves with the level of A8 from the CTC test. Previously, cut-resistant gloves have been knitted with iron strings, which made them heavy, inefficient, expensive and nondurable.

The new ECO Tech cut-resistance gloves effectively do away with these problems. Lightweight, efficient, competitive and long-lasting, these new gloves enhance the level 8 cut resistance beyond the previous work gloves and will therefore replace them as the gloves of choice in the marketplace.

“With the application of Polygiene’s antibacterial, safer-to-touch treatment to our gloves, the synergies between Polygiene and Eco Tech will be greater than ever,“ says Han S. Lee, CEO of ECO Tech Co., Ltd. “Both companies are pursuing ECO friendly ways.”
