San Francisco, CA, USA October 25, 2013 – Fisherman’s Wharf, one of San Francisco’s most well-known destination neighborhoods, is changing with the major renovation of one of its cornerstone properties. On November 1, 2013, Pier 2620 Hotel will be introduced to guests visiting the prime location at Bay and Jones.

Quite literally, on October 31, 2013 guests will go to sleep at Hilton San Francisco Fisherman’s Wharf and wake up at Pier 2620 Hotel Fisherman’s Wharf.  The welcomed changes are infusing the neighborhood with excitement.  This centrally located, 234-room hotel has been known as “the place” for years amongst leisure and business travelers alike, allowing for key site-seeing and exploring in the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond.

After a multi-million dollar renovation, which includes the lobby, lounge, restaurant and other public areas, the hotel will ‘officially’ be presented on November 1, 2013.  At first sight, guests will have an entirely different experience with the new layout, design and enhanced services. The new and inviting interior is certainly more urban, shifting from the traditional décor that has been an expected Fisherman’s Wharf staple for years.

“It’s an honor to have the opportunity to present a new boutique hotel option in one of the world’s best-known travel destinations,” said General Manager James T. Franklin. “Welcoming guests to a renovated and still iconic hotel in an ideal location makes my job an absolute pleasure.”

Meeting the needs of today’s traveler, new offerings will include Bay Street Market, a, 24-hour ‘grab-and-go’ option stocked with local artisan products and EvenKeel Lounge which will feature self-pour Napa wine technology, serving small bites to enjoy alongside favorite handmade cocktails from the full service bar. Bay Street Bistro will feature a full breakfast buffet with gourmet selections for fast-paced visitors. Club 2620 business lounge will also be available to frequent travelers and will include a complimentary breakfast, snacks, and personal concierge services. Within the next two months, all guestrooms will also be updated and the fitness center will be expanded.

Personalized guest services have also been enhanced, including the launch of the hotel’s new ‘Coastal Concierge’ program.  Coastal Concierge was created to ensure the richest experiences for visitors while also providing ease and efficiency for all travelers while visiting the San Francisco area. The hotel has also adopted Alfred the Sea Lion, and he has several suggestions for the area’s best insider tips provided either in person or via the website in advance.

A new loyalty program, supported through Preferred Hotel Group, will allow regular visitors to continue to accrue travel points at Pier 2620 Hotel as well as 650 additional Preferred Hotels worldwide. Additionally, the property has enhanced the iPrefer frequent stay program with a local program called Rewards 2620, and it will reward guests through upgraded amenities, accommodations, and special rewards throughout their stay at the property.
