bpi.recycled products reveals PLMA plans

With this year’s PLMA show rapidly approaching, bpi.recycled products has revealed its plans for the international trade exhibition. At the event, which brings together retailers and manufacturers from over 70 different countries with the aim of helping visitors to discover new product lines and new commercial opportunities, the business will showcase a number of products from its sector leading range of high performance refuse and clinical waste sacks.

In particular, the manufacturer will use its stand at the show (Stand 3121, Non-food section, RAI Holland Complex) to promote the benefits of its Green Sack® brand of refuse sacks. As their name suggests, these innovative sacks offer green credentials second to none.

Not only are Green Sacks made entirely from 100% recycled polythene helping to divert waste from landfill and conserving resources, but all of this material comes from European sources and is recycled at European facilities. This ensures Green Sacks have a much lower carbon footprint compared to other 100% recycled refuse sacks which are typically produced overseas – most notably in the Far East.

Aside from their impressive environmental advantages, Green Sacks also offer remarkable levels of performance. bpi.recycled products actually uses a large percentage of agricultural polythene waste such as used silage balewrap in their production, employing advanced technology to remanufacture this material in a way that retains much of its original strength. This results in a range of refuse sacks able to offer exceptional durability and tear resistance.

Speaking of the manufacturer’s plans for the event, Rachael Barton, Marketing Executive at bpi.recycled products, said: “PMLA is the ideal event for bpi.recycled products to showcase our products to the global marketplace.

“Now in its 25 year, the show boasts some 3,500 different stands located across 40 national and regional pavilions and allowing retail buyers to discover new products across almost every imaginable food and non-food category - including fresh, frozen and refrigerated foods, dry groceries, beverages, cosmetics, health and beauty, household and kitchen, automotive aftercare, garden, housewares and DIY.

“On our stand, we’ll be focusing on a number of products from our comprehensive product range – refuse sacks, garden sacks, rubble sacks, wheelie bin liners, clinical waste sacks and specialist aprons. In particular, we’ll be concentrating on our Green Sack range because of their ability to offer benefits to the retailer, the end user and the wider environment. They also serve as a particularly poignant example of the capabilities we enjoy as a European leader in refuse sack production and as Europe’s largest recycler of waste polythene.”

The PMLA show is held in Amsterdam from 24th to the 25th May. For more information on the show, visit http://www.plmainternational.com/en/show_information_en2.htm
