Proact selected by Scouting Nederland to implement manageable and cost-efficient converged data center infrastructure solution
Scouting Nederland, with more than 100,000 members the largest youth organization in the Netherlands, selects Proact to supply and implement a new converged data center infrastructure solution. Proact is supplying the total solution for hardware and software under a three-year contract signed by Scouting Nederland.
The validated EMC VSPEX total solution includes EMC storage, Cisco servers, Cisco networking and virtualization software from VMware set up at two Scouting Nederland sites. The VSPEX solution replaces the obsolete data center components with a new, standardized and cost-efficient platform.
The components of the platform are fully integrated, so the total solution fits in perfectly with Scouting Nederland’s requirements for performance, availability and manageability.
In addition Scouting Nederland also benefits from a lower TCO and extremely high performance of the various Scouting systems, including the ScoutShop webshop, thanks to use of Flash technology and Fully Automated Storage Tiering (FAST) on the EMC storage systems.
