PRONOVA BIOPHARMA ASA - BASF AS achieves acceptance of more than 97 % of shares

In the conditional voluntary offer (the "Voluntary 
Offer") for all of the outstanding shares in Pronova 
BioPharma ASA ("Pronova"),   BASF AS announces that 
following the expiration of the offer period on 18 
January 2013 at 16:30 CET received acceptances under 
the Voluntary Offer for 293'975'655 shares 
representing approximately 97.72 percent of the 
issued shares and votes in Pronova.
As announced on 09 January 2013 all regulatory 
approvals required for completion of the Voluntary 
Offer have been obtained.BASF intends to complete the 
Offer subject to the satisfaction or waiver of the 
remaining conditions to the Offer as set forth in the 
Offer Document, Section 4.7, as soon as possible.
