PRONOVA BIOPHARMA ASA - VOLUNTARY OFFER BY BASF CLEARED BY GERMAN COMPETITION AUTHORITIES

Reference is made to the offer document dated 4 
December 2012 regarding BASF AS' conditional 
voluntary offer (the "Voluntary Offer") for all of 
the outstanding shares in Pronova BioPharma ASA 
("Pronova") and BASF AS' announcement on 19 December 
2012 regarding extension of the offer period. 
  
BASF AS has now received confirmation that German 
competition authorities have cleared the consummation 
of the Voluntary Offer. As such all regulatory 
approvals required for completion of the Voluntary 
Offer have been obtained. 

The terms and conditions of the Voluntary Offer 
remain unchanged, including the 90% acceptance 
condition and the expiry of the offer period on 18 
January 2013 at 16:30 CET.
