John Brain brings hot water and steam expertise to support commercial sales

Leading international manufacturer of heating systems, Viessmann, has appointed John Brain as technical sales manager, projects division. Brain will provide support to the commercial sales team across the UK, and develop Viessmann’s product offering in biomass and CHP.

John Brain joins Viessmann from Hartley and Sugden, the Halifax-based boiler manufacturer, and brings 20 years of experience in commercial and industrial boilers including steam projects. He reports to Nigel Jefferson, sales director, commercial and renewable products.

“With significant experience working on energy centres at such healthcare organisations as Derby and Castle Hill hospitals, I have learnt firsthand what goes into large-scale projects from design to completion,” says Brain.

“Working alongside consultants and specifiers to deliver installations has led me to value quality and this has drawn me to Viessmann as I see it at the heart of all its technologies.”

Continues Brain, “Viessmann’s product line-up ranges from traditional oil and gas-fired boilers to renewable solar thermal and photovoltaic systems, combined heat and power modules (CHP), ground, air and water sourced heat pumps and biomass boilers. The flexibility of application and output these products offer is unrivalled in the market place and I look forward to working with them more closely.”
