• Professional motorsport simulator company to launch lighter, smaller, more affordable simulator for attractions operators globally. • Visitors to the IAAPA Expo invited to see new Hexathrill and Hexatech 3CTR (three seater), also developed for the attractions market, on stand 1451.

AMSTERDAM – From the creators of the world’s most sophisticated, interactive motion-based racing simulators comes a new simulator designed specifically for the needs of the global attractions market. Using the exact same advanced technology as the professional simulators Cruden supplies to the world’s leading motorsport teams and automotive researchers, Hexathrill is a lighter, more affordable and flexible version that uses less floor space and delivers a faster return on investment. Cruden will present Hexathrill on stand 1451 at the International Association of Amusements Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) Expo (November 15th-19th) in Orlando, Florida, USA. “Cruden is trusted in motorsports and is a growing player in the entertainment business having sold simulators to theme parks, karting venues, simulation centres, malls and private individuals around the world,” says Frank Kalff, Cruden’s commercial director. “Hexathrill is a response to feedback from non-motorsport specialist attractions such as Family Entertainment Centres (FECs) where floor space is at a premium and where there is opportunity for the most sophisticated simulators at a more affordable price. We also anticipate significant interest from companies involved in travelling attractions and corporate hospitality where the simulator needs to be easily transferred from venue to venue on a more regular basis.” Hexathrill is an evolution of the renowned Hexatech simulator (Hexa refers to the six degrees of freedom which provide full motion) specifically for the attractions sector. The simulator’s footprint requirement, weight and height have been reduced by 30 percent or more, making Hexathrill much easier to locate and install. Hexathrill will comfortably fit standard room heights of around 2.5m and is less restricted in terms of floor loading, meaning it can be situated on higher storeys. The efficient design has enabled Cruden to launch the new Hexathrill beneath €100,000, providing unprecedented affordability for a professional motorsport simulator. Hexathrill is as durable and reliable as the Hexatech, offering unlimited repeatable performance over years without major overhaul. Continues Kalff: “Hexathrill demonstrates Cruden’s commitment to the entertainment market and is a natural step for us as we expand our activities further in this sector. In developing a much more accessible package, it was essential that our accurate force feedback and motion-cueing technologies were not compromised, and this has been achieved with a remarkable product. The Hexathrill will be on display on stand 1451, alongside a Hexatech 3CTR (three-seater) simulator, also developed for the entertainment market but larger due to its ability to seat three guests at once. Customers can place orders for all Cruden simulators on the stand for delivery in early 2011. - Ends - About Cruden Cruden is the world’s leading designer and manufacturer of professional, interactive, motion-based racing simulators.
