MediQA, Purite’s water purification solution designed for dialysis departments, has now been awarded with the necessary Canadian Medical Device Licenses, meaning that Purite’s sister company AmeriWater is now able to launch the product in Canada.

Centurion, Purite’s innovative single patient water purification unit, aimed primarily at the home healthcare market for haemodialysis and haemodiafiltration, has been further enhanced and future-proofed to comply with the latest electrical safety legislation and the increasing demand by clinicians for “Nocturnal dialysis”. The Centurion’s user selectable “Nocturnal Dialysis function”, allow patients to dialyse overnight without being disturbed.

Dave Law, a Renal Specialist from Purite, travelled to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, during May to support local distributor Salehiya Medical, which was exhibiting at the Saudi Health Exhibition 2013, one of many such visits scheduled for the year. In bringing the latest technology to the right audiences, Purite is furthering the abilities of hospitals and caregivers to improve their service to the benefit of healthcare patients around the globe.

Purite is set to continue its strong presence at global exhibitions this year by showcasing its portfolio of laboratory purification units at Forensics Europe Expo, a new forum for the presentation and discussion of forensics products, equipment and services.  The exhibition is set to take place on the 24th-25th April at Olympia, London and visitors to the show will able to find Purite at stand E33 in the Pavilion. 

Purite has opened a new office in Scotland, bringing its expertise in the design and manufacture of water purification systems closer to the company’s many loyal customers north of the border.

Purite has been accepted on to the NHS Framework for the supply of Sterile Services equipment and plant. The declaration means that Purite is now a preferred supplier for this department of the NHS and will be invited to quote for all business related to Sterile Services equipment.

Purite has enhanced customer service yet further by launching an innovative but simple to use QR code system that links users to a range of video tutorials on how to replace used water purification cartridges.  By scanning a unique QR code on the packaging of replacement pre-treatment and deioniser cartridges the user is directed to a video that shows a step-by-step process for correctly replacing the used cartridge with a new one.  Purite is the first purification system manufacturer to introduce this technology to the market, offering a unique advantage to its customers.

Purite will be showcasing a range of water purification equipment at Making Cosmetics 2013, which takes place at the National Motorcycle Museum Exhibition Centre, Birmingham on 12 and 13 March 2013.  The event aims to present innovative and proven solutions for the manufacture of cosmetics and the Purite stand will be a focal point for visitors looking to improve their manufacturing process through enhancing the quality, performance and efficiency of water purity.
