Qbrick CEO Eric Matsgård chosen to Streaming Media Dream Team 2011

Every year Streaming Media Europe, chooses a Dream Team of professionals in the Online Video and Web-TV industry. The team is designed like a football team with members combining strength and knowledge of the industry as well as individual success and commitment.  Eric Matsgård, CEO of Qbrick has been hand picked for the 2011 Dream Team.

“This is a true recognition not only for myself, but for the whole team at Qbrick”, says Eric Matsgård. “For the last years we’ve expanded our business in Sweden and Norway, but now also in the other Nordic countries when acquiring Arkena in Denmark and Camtenna in Finland.  We now have a dominant market position within Content Delivery Network and Online Video Platforms in the Nordic region. I am proud to be chosen as a member of the Streaming Media Dream Team and if this was a football team, I’d take the Forward position as that’s where I see our Company and position on the market”.

The Dream Team has every year been chosen from a wide range of people in the industry, some newcomers, some well-known names and a few surprises.

"This year's Dream Team is a cross-section of both established veterans and up-and-comers in the European online video space," says Streaming Media editor Eric Schumacher-Rasmussen. "They represent not only 'traditional' elements of online video such as content delivery and streaming services, but also the associated creative, social, and monetisation pieces without which the industry cannot grow. It's our most diverse Dream Team yet, and I congratulate all of them."

Some of the previous Dream Team members are Daniel Ek co-founder Spotify, Stephen Emmott head of Web Services London School of Economics, Anthony Rose, Head of digital Media Technology at BBC. Last year Camtenna’s CEO Rami Alanko was chosen to the dream team. Since Qbrick acquired finish online video company Camtenna last month, Qbrick now has two Dream Team Members.
