Oklahoma Magazine Names QuiBids a Great Company to Work For
In just a little over three years, QuiBids has been honored as a Great Company to Work For by Oklahoma Magazine.
Oklahoma City, OK — December 20, 2012 — QuiBids.com, the world’s leading entertainment retail auction, was recently honored by Oklahoma Magazine as one of its Great Companies to Work For in 2012. Of the 27 companies highlighted in the magazine’s December issue, QuiBids was the fourth smallest employer and the only online-exclusive retailer.
“As such a young company it’s a huge honor for us to be included among so many of our state’s most reputable businesses,” said Jill Farrand, QuiBids’ director of public relations.
The magazine’s criteria for determining its Great Companies to Work For included an online application process, panel review, consultation with “leading business interests and organizations in the state,” and the review of similar such studies of Oklahoma employers, according to its December issue. Other honorees included Reasor’s Foods, Kimray, and Goodyear Tire & Rubber.
QuiBids was established by Chief Executive Officer Matt Beckham and Chief Technology Officer Shaun Tilford in 2009 when they were 27 and 25, respectively. The first official company office was Beckham’s Oklahoma City apartment before they hired additional employees and moved into a space in Leadership Square in downtown. Now QuiBids employs about 150 people who do business on two floors in one of the city’s Class A office establishments.
Previously, QuiBids was twice named one of Oklahoma’s Best Places to Work by okcBIZ magazine. It finished fourth among small- and medium-sized companies in 2011, and third in 2012.
QuiBids launched in October of 2009 and has expanded with their improved internet auction model. QuiBids live auctions are more exciting, reliable and safer than other online auction websites. QuiBids is a Better Business Bureau (BBB) accredited business.
