Madison, Wis – (October 9, 2012)   Quincy Animal Health, makers of Neutricks®, are announcing results from a dog owner observation study. Participants saw an outstanding 24% improvement in overall score of a cognitive assessment.

The Old Dog Survey is a pet-owner observational study that checks for behavioral markers that indicate the overall health of an aging dog.  Owners evaluated the health of their own dogs, based on their own experience with their pet’s health. 70 dog owners participated in the study over the span of one month.

Neutricks, a best-selling cognitive supplement for aging dogs, was tested against a control group of dogs not taking the supplement.  The Old Dog Survey showed that the Neutricks group experienced an overall 24% improvement in aging symptoms.  Among dogs using Neutricks in the Old Dog Survey, there was a reported 45% reduction in house soiling, and a 23% reduction in disorientation.

“House soiling and disorientation are among the top reasons that a pet owner will decide it is time for euthanasia.  By enhancing the brain health of aging dogs, we are providing pet owners with the peace of mind that they are extending the quality of life for their aging dogs,” says Dave Merrick, dog owner and General Manager of Quincy Animal Health, “Watching your dog slowly lose their personality and cognitive function is heartbreaking for any dog owner.”

Dog care-givers are urged to start looking for signs of aging earlier, and to consider using Neutricks to extend the quality of life of their dog.
