Rejlers wins a contract for continued rail expansion in Norway

Rejlers Norway has signed a framework agreement to be the project support for Jernbaneverket when the InterCity railway is expanding in Norway. Several of the company's senior rail experts will work with the planning of the new routes.

The expansion of the InterCity railway is one of the largest transport investments in Norway, under the National Transport Plan 2014-2023. The routes between Oslo and Hamar and also between Tønsberg and Seut via Fredrikstad should be completed by 2024. The expansion to Lillehammer, Oslo and Halden should be completed by 2030.

“The contract gives us access to a competent and experienced group of consultants who can assist us with advice in many different areas. It provides our project with the capacity and expertise needed to plan the expansion of the 230 kilometers railway”, says Anne Siri Haugen, Project Director of the project InterCity at Jernbaneverket.

The Division Rail Consult in Rejlers Norway has won the framework agreement regarding project support for Jernbaneverket in cooperation with Dronninga Landscape AS, CF Møller Architects AS and Tom Stillesby. Services covered by the framework agreement include railway expertise, operations and maintenance, planning, architecture, landscape architecture and process management. The contract is valid for four years with a possible extension of another year.
