Statnett SF has commissioned Rejlers to design new transformer stations for the 420kV network in North Norway. Rejlers shall create a technical solution proposal for the stations up to the investment decision.

The design commission includes electrical power, construction, geotechnics, ground surveys and roads.

The work shall be carried out in the first half of 2017 and the contract contains further options on the remaining design work up to completion of the transformer stations.

“We are pleased about the trust that Statnett has placed in us and are confident that we will provide optimal solutions in the best interests of the customer," says Bjørn Vadholm, Project Director at Rejlers Norge.

Statnett is the system operator for the Norwegian energy system. This means operating about 11,000 km of high-voltage power lines and 150 substations all over Norway. Operations are monitored by one national control centre and two regional centres. Statnett is also responsible for connections to Sweden, Finland, Russia, Denmark and the Netherlands.
