Lift assurance for Shurgard with Apex Lifts
Apex Lifts, London’s largest independent lift manufacturing and servicing company, has successfully won a service and maintenance contract with Shurgard, the largest developer, owner and operator of self-storage facilities in Europe.
From January 1st 2015, Apex will provide maintenance services for all 46 lifts across Shurgard’s UK sites, which are spread out across London and Thames Valley.
Shurgard started in Belgium in 1994, and expanded into the UK in 1998. A pioneer of the self-storage concept they offer both individuals and businesses convenient storage solutions in purpose built units from 10 to 290 sq.ft. Shurgard now has 197 stores across 7 European countries: France, Sweden, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and Denmark.
“We currently have 22 sites in London and Thames Valley, and full access to our sites is vital for both customers and Shurgard employees. The Shurgard core values are service, security, reliability, convenience and cleanliness, so we’re pleased to have found a maintenance company who understands what we’re about,” says Hans Van Lierde, Shurgard Facilities Director Europe.
Apex Lifts offers both planned and preventative lift maintenance, as well as repair and breakdown services. Its bespoke elevator maintenance contracts, are developed according to the specific requirements of its clients and their building occupants.
