ToonsTV Now Available on Apple TV
Family Friendly Video Platform Eclipses 5.6 Billion Global Views; Unveils Dedicated Easter Programming
LOS ANGELES – March 24, 2016 -- ToonsTV, Rovio Animation Company’s go-to platform for family friendly video entertainment, launched globally today for the all-new Apple TV. Available as a free download with no in-app purchases, ToonsTV features more than 30 channels of high quality, video on-demand (VOD) family entertainment, including the original animated series Angry Birds Toons, Piggy Tales and Stella, as well as its educational Rocket Science Show, developed in cooperation with NASA. ToonsTV also offers renowned animation properties, including Wallace and Gromit and Shaun the Sheep by Aardman, Zooville by National Geographic and Pucca by Vooz.
ToonsTV is currently featuring an “Eggs, Eggs, Eggs” channel of Easter-themed episodes from the platform’s various properties, including “EggsHaustion,” an all-new episode of Angry Birds Toons. Another major focus is a new series of humorous Easter Egg “unwrapping” videos, starring the feathered hands of Red from the Angry Birds flock.

In January 2015, ToonsTV won a DigiDay award for Best Video Distribution/Syndication Platform, and in October 2015, ToonsTV launched as a standalone app for iOS and Android devices.
