Summer is a great time for getting out any old furniture from the corner of your room and giving it a whole new look with spray paint. A suitable outdoor space will make spray painting quick, easy and fun. Check out some of our gorgeous projects and be inspired!

Breathe new life into an old chair

Our chair was picked up at a house-clearance store for just £5. Once cleaned and lightly sanded, we gave the chair a couple of coats of Rust-Oleum Painter’s Touch in Cherry Red (Gloss). The whole project took less than 2 hours to complete!

Upcycle a trolley

With the popularity of all things vintage, certain pieces of furniture are having a modern-day revival. Tea trolleys are one such piece and are perfect for contemporary living. Use them for storage or for a traditional tea-time treat complete with your finest china cups and plates. We sanded down this trolley and prepared the surface with a couple of coats of Rust-Oleum Surface Primer in white. We then completed the look with a top-coat of Rust-Oleum Painter’s Touch in Almond (Gloss). This project took around 4 hours to complete.

Give a magazine rack a new look

We chose Rust-Oleum Painter’s Touch in Purple to give an old magazine rack a sophisticated new look that blends perfectly in a traditional home. The old, dark-wood rack was cleaned down and given a light sanding, then primed with Rust-Oleum Surface Primer in Grey before the top coat was applied. This project took less than 2 hours to complete!

Rust-Oleum spray paint is available from B&Q, Homebase and other leading stockists. From £7.99 for 400ml.
