Markham – (May 2, 2013) Saint Elizabeth Health Care is encouraged by the five per cent increase in homecare spending announced in today’s Ontario budget.

“I am pleased to see the commitment of additional funding for home care,” said Shirlee Sharkey, President and CEO. “I am confident about the positive impact these funds will have for people receiving care in their homes.”

Saint Elizabeth has a longstanding relationship with the Community Care Access Centres (CCACs) and other partners in the healthcare system who are committed to providing the best quality of care possible to the growing number people who are choosing to receive care at home.

“We are excited to continue working with the CCACs and our other partners so that the money is invested in new and different ways to build capacity and service to homecare clients.  We believe in bringing healthcare to people where, when and how they choose to receive it.”
