SAN DIEGO – A new, free download method of Salford Systems’ data mining software has been designed and implemented, making it easier than ever for data miners to download Salford’s ultra-fast tools with just a few clicks of the mouse.

The new process works like this:

Step 1: Chose the product(s) you are interested in evaluating.

Step 2: Provide your name and contact information.

Step 3: Download!

It’s as easy as that, and Salford Systems couldn’t be happier to finally launch this new method!

The Salford Predictive Modeler™ suite is the integration of industry leading products CART®, MARS®, TreeNet®, and RandomForests® into an extremely easy-to-use and powerful data mining and predictive modeling suite.

SPM™ allows the analyst to segment data; generate both classification models such as “who buys, who responds, fraud, default,” and regression models, including “spend how much, cost how much, stay how long”; request automatic searches to set best performance modeling parameters; discover best models; and conduct elementary and deep investigations into the structure and patterns of the data.

“SPM lets you start an analysis with as few as three mouse clicks referencing data stored in conventional flat files (text, Excel, statistical packages) and databases (via ODBC),” explains Salford Systems’ CEO Dan Steinberg. “Visual displays help make all results straightforward to understand and digest, and going from investigation to a deployed model can also be accomplished in three or four mouse clicks.”

Online training videos covering all aspects of data mining and the use of SPM software are available to all downloaders, as well as a collection of example studies leveraging SPM technology across most industries, including banking ,insurance, biomedical research, healthcare, retail sales, price optimization, manufacturing, education, wildlife, forestry, image analysis, threat detection, speech recognition, robotics, and more.

“We also offer classroom training in various locations across the U.S. throughout the year,” adds Steinberg. “Our next training is scheduled for May 2012 in San Diego in conjunction with our 7th Analytics and Data Mining Conference.”
