SaltX Technology granted European solar collector patent

Nasdaq First North-Listed SaltX Technology has been granted a patent for its second-generation solar collector by the European Patent Office (EPO). It is based on the same low-cost version now being manufactured in China. The patent enables SaltX to intensify marketing of SunCool on the European market. The Solar collector stores thermal solar energy during the day and releases the heat and cold during the night.

SaltX is collaborating since long with the leading thermal solar collector manufacturer in Poland – Hewalex - who has manufactured and delivered collectors to the SunCool reference installations in both Sweden and Turkey. The core tubes with the SaltX material will be manufactured and delivered by SaltX partner in China - NSECT - and then assembled into solar collectors in Europe.

"The timing of this patent cannot be better, now we have a ready product with a full patent protection both in China and Europe. We will now intensify our marketing of SunCool in Europe, but the main focus is still on the Chinese market - where we are about to push the button for full-scale serial production.", says Karl Bohman, CEO of SaltX Technology.

The patent is already registered in Sweden and China.
