Samhällsbyggnadsbolaget i Norden AB (publ) (”SBB”) sets up a green framework in order to be able to issue green bonds in the future.

“-Since the start, we have had professionalism, a long-term view and social commitment as our guiding stars. All these dimensions are united in investments in sustainable development. We are now taking a new step in our commitment to sustainable development by, for the first time, setting up a framework in order to be able to issue green bonds. SBB’s green framework is based on the need to make major reductions in carbon dioxide emissions through energy efficient buildings,” comments Ilija Batljan, CEO and founder of Samhällsbyggnadsbolaget i Norden AB.

SBB’s green framework is in line with the so-called Green Bond Principles, which have been developed by the International Capital Market Association (ICMA). SBB has commissioned and received an independent valuation by CICERO (Center for International Climate Research, Oslo) of the Green Framework and associated steering documents and routines for assessing the environmental impact of the projects. In light of their assessment of project type, steering documents goals and reporting standards, SBB’s green framework has received a “Medium Green” assessment by CICERO.
