Gartner Inc.’s July 2014 Magic Quadrant for Data Integration Tools places SAS among its Leaders quadrant, based on SAS’ completeness of vision and ability to execute.

“One of the benefits of the SAS®Data Management solution is that it integrates seamlessly with the rest of the SAS Data Management platform,” said Matthew Magne, Global Product Marketing Manager for Data Management at SAS. “The unified platform is built on a core of data quality to streamline the user experience and ensure access to the right data at the right time.”

According to the report, “The discipline of data integration comprises the practices, architectural techniques and tools for achieving consistent access to, and delivery of, data across the spectrum of data subject areas and data structure types in the enterprise – to meet the data consumption requirements of all applications and business processes.”

“Today’s big data environment requires organizations to have access to both emerging data sources like Hadoop and traditional sources,” added Magne, “and to be able to seamlessly integrate many types of data both physically and virtually using data federation and event streaming technologies. We’ve been working to enhance these capabilities to make accessing and analyzing data simple for our technical customers as well as introducing new offerings to empower business users with self-service big data management capabilities.”

SAS Data Management helps customers speed integration processes by up to 66 percent. It also boosts productivity by working from a single point of control and enabling quick and easy data access. The intuitive interface means business users can be entrusted with the data, giving them more control and freeing up IT personnel for other critical tasks. SAS Data Integration has been implemented at more than 14,000 organizations worldwide.
