Now supporting four-core servers, SAS®Visual Analytics brings power, agility to more customers

Already deployed at thousands of enterprises around the globe, SAS® Visual Analytics is now within reach of individual users. With new support for four-core servers, SAS data visualization software now delivers critical business insight using commodity hardware.

SAS Visual Analytics is widely valued as a platform for reporting, BI, dashboards, data discovery, and approachable analytics. Now individual users can apply the same self-service, point-and-click guided analysis that workgroups and global enterprises have enjoyed for reporting and analyzing all levels of data, small to big. Licensing options now start at four cores and extend to unlimited core counts. Customers may also choose to deploy on the Amazon Web Services cloud and SAS Visual Analytics for SAS Cloud.

“More than 2,000 sites already license SAS Visual Analytics,” said Jim Davis, SAS Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer. “The new entry-level configuration surely puts the power of SAS data visualization in the hands of many more business decision makers who want to explore data in an interactive, self-service fashion.”

SAS Visual Analytics has been praised by industry analysts since its launch two years ago. “The Forrester Wave™: Agile Business Intelligence Platforms, Q3 2014” said SAS “now leads the pack” in agile BI, a category including SAS Visual Analytics. The report noted that SAS Visual Analytics lacked entry-level options. That barrier to entry was just knocked down.

“We are a mature user of analytics, and our team is very comfortable working with traditional analysis tools,” said Jundong Song, 89 Degrees Partner and Vice President of Marketing Intelligence. “Many of our clients, however, are much more comfortable with a user-friendly interface and visual results. SAS Visual Analytics has modernized data exploration for these clients.”
