With SAS®, Brazil’s largest credit union bolsters security and growth of loan portfolio

Sicredi will make faster credit scoring decisions and decrease potential credit risk losses with analytics

Looking to bolster portfolio performance through better credit risk management, Sicredi, Brazil’s largest credit union and a SAS customer since 2010, turned once again to SAS for expanded quantitative analysis. With SAS Real-Time Decision Manager and SAS Visual Analytics, Sicredi expects to make faster credit decisions and decrease potential credit risk losses.

“These technologies streamline the review and approval process for credit decisions,” said John Sato, Superintendent of Credit and Risk at Sicredi. "Today, we have a comprehensive view of the entire loan portfolio and a higher degree of detail on the data so we can do more business with controlled risk.”

Sicredi’s project team chose SAS Real-Time Decision Manager because of the solution's flexibility and ease of use as well as the impressive capabilities of SAS Visual Analytics.

“We appreciate technology like SAS that helps us better understand member profiles, improve business processes and reduce costs,” said Sato.

In the coming months, Sicredi will use SAS Real-Time Decision Manager to increase real-time credit decisioning and customer growth.
