Scania Engines now offers an even greater range for marine workboats. With the new IMO Tier II-certified 13- and 16-litre engines, the fishing industry and other demanding marine customers can take even better advantage of Scania’s widely recognised performance.

The engines have previously been certified according to the US EPA Tier 3 Marine and CCNR Stage II regulations (Central Commission for the Navigation of the Rhine). With the additional IMO Tier II certification, more customers can benefit from the high engine torque offered by Scania for coastal and oceangoing marine operations.

With the newly-certified marine engines, DI13 80M and DI13 81M, and DI16 80M, Scania has a broad range of 13-litre engines from 162 to 551 kW and 16-litre engines from 221 to 736 kW. The Scania Marine Solution has thus been expanded, allowing more customers to tailor products for their specific operations.
