CybAero participates in Africa Aerospace & Defence Expo 2014
First North-listed CybAero, which develops and markets unmanned helicopters, participated in the Africa Aerospace & Defence Expo 2014 in Pretoria, South Africa last week. Three hundred aerospace and defense companies exhibited at the expo, which is the largest in Africa with over 90,000 visitors.
“This is the first time we exhibited our products in Africa. It was exciting, and we made good contacts with potential customers in both Africa and the Middle East,” says Mikael Hult, CEO of CybAero.
For the expo, held during September 17–21, CybAero contributed with its own showcase to display the company’s unmanned helicopter, the APID 60.
“Africa is a vast continent with a high demand for unmanned helicopter systems for use in civil applications such as border patrols, piracy protection along Africa's coastlines or protection of endangered species, such as the rhinoceros,” says Mikael Hult.
CybAero regularly participates in international aerospace expos and trade fairs, sometimes on its own and, at other times, in collaboration with various partners. “It is important for us to get out there and show off our product, especially in new markets like South Africa. Establishing new and valuable contacts on site is incredibly valuable,” says Mikael Hult.
