Borgenärerna i Northland godkänner rekonstruktionsplanen
Luxemburg, 12 juli 2013 – Northland Resources S.A. (OSE: NAUR, Frankfurt: NPK, Nasdaq OMX/First North: NAURo – tillsammans med dess dotterbolag, “Northland”, eller “Bolaget”) meddelar att Tingsrätten i Luleå idag har godkänt rekonstruktionsplanen för Bolagets svenska dotterbolag.
Som tidigare meddelats har Luleå tingsrätt idag hållit ackordsförhandling i samband med rekonstruktionerna av bolagen Northland Resources AB (publ), Northland Sweden AB och Northland Logistics AB.
Vid mötet godkände bolagens borgenärer det föreslagna ackordet. Tingsrätten beslutade i enlighet med detta att godkänna rekonstruktionsplanen och fastställa ackordet. Det norska dotterbolaget Northland Logistics AS är inte i formell rekonstruktion men har redan tidigare kommit överens med samtliga sina fordringsägare om samma betalningsplan som de övriga dotterbolagen.
Dagens beslut från Luleå tingsrätt vinner laga kraft om tre veckor. Nästa steg är då att tingsrätten beslutar att rekonstruktionen upphör.

Northland är en producent av järnmalm med en portfölj av produktion, utvecklings- och prospekteringsprojekt i norra Sverige och Finland. Den första byggfasen av Kaunisvaara-projektet är färdig och drifttagningen startade i november 2012. Northland avser att producera ett höghaltigt och högkvalitativt järnmalmskoncentrat i svenska Kaunisvaara, där Bolaget har två fyndigheter, Tapuli och Sahavaara, med magnetitmalm. Northland har ingått så kallade ”off-take agreements” för hela produktionen från Kaunisvaara de kommande sju till tio åren. Bolaget förbereder även en lönsamhetsstudie (DFS) för Hannukainen-projektet i Kolari i norra Finland. Hannukainen är en så kallad IOCG-fyndighet, vilket innebär att det utöver järnmalm även kan utvinnas guld och koppar. Bolaget förbereder även en DFS för Pellivuoma-fyndigheten som ligger 15 km från anrikningsverket i Kaunisvaara.
