Press Release

30th October 2013

The Good Dealer Scheme has launched in the UK today.

The Good Dealer Scheme is a comparison and ratings website for motorcyclists choosing a dealership.  It works along similar lines to other very successful ratings websites.  Customers will rate their dealer using a star system, sharing their feedback and experiences with other people looking to use the services of a motorcycle dealership.  The site, which will go live on 30th October 2013, can be found at www.gooddealerscheme.co.uk

Robin Plaster, founder of the Good Dealer Scheme and  an enthusiastic motorcyclist himself, could see an obvious opening in the market for a scheme that would raise standards in the industry by allowing customers to share their experience online, so The Good Dealer Scheme was born.

The scheme has been designed to enable motorcycle dealership customers to make more informed choices about where to buy or service their bikes and where to get the best range of spares and accessories – pretty much anything but the choice of coffee!  Customers will give dealers a rating of up to 5 stars depending on how happy they are with the level of service they have received, based on four criteria:- friendliness, communication, quality of work and overall satisfaction.

“All dealers that sign up to the scheme perform to a strict code of conduct and take pride in consistently delivering great service to their customers.  Feedback on The Good Dealer Scheme website will allow customers to find a dealer based on customer ratings, location and type of service required.  Finding a dealership that offers excellent customer service will no longer be a hit and miss process.  The Good Dealer Scheme is set to revolutionise the motorcycle industry” explains Robin Plaster.

This is an opportunity to raise the standards of the industry.  Dealers who are already good now have a platform that will broadcast their success, dealers who are falling short of the mark have an incentive to improve.

The site is completely free for customers to use, with dealers being charged just £120 per annum to be a member, for which they get a whole range of trade benefits.
