DoubleTree by Hilton Lincoln Looking for Locals in the Know

LINCOLN, UK – 31st August 2011 – Do you think you know everything there is to know about Lincoln and have the drive to work in the hospitality industry? DoubleTree by Hilton Lincoln, due to open in November 2011, is inviting local know-it-alls to put their knowledge to the test!

Brayford Hotels, the company behind the development on Brayford Wharf North in Lincoln, is looking for two part-time concierges to offer help and advice to guests staying in the hotel.  

The successful candidates will become the face of Lincoln’s first full service, upscale hotel and will meet and greet guests as they arrive at the door.

A vital part of their role will be offering tips, advice and local knowledge to guests arriving at the hotel from outside the city.

They will be expected to have the inside knowledge on the best local attractions, historical landmarks and tourist hotspots such as museums, galleries and theatres.

The concierges will also be expected to have a strong knowledge of local history and be familiar with all the major events in the city’s calendar such as the Lincolnshire Show, the Waddington International Airshow and the Lincoln Christmas Market.

General Manager Philip Walker explained: “DoubleTree by Hilton is going to be Lincoln’s first full service, upscale hotel and it’s our goal to deliver outstanding service at all times, so it’s vital we get the right people in place.

“Although previous experience of the service industry would be ideal, we’re looking for candidates with the right personality who can help us to maintain the exceptionally high standards the DoubleTree by Hilton brand has become famous for.

“It’s an exciting time as the hotel is really starting to take shape and we’ve already received a lot of enquiries from individuals and companies wanting to make a booking.”

When it opens the contemporary and aspirational hotel will offer 115 well appointed, modern and spacious guest rooms with over 500m² of flexible meeting and events space.

Seventeen rooms will be studio suites each with a balcony and views of the Brayford Pool or the famous Lincoln Cathedral.

The hotel will also boast an on-site gym and a rooftop bar and restaurant, accessed by a panoramic feature lift on the front of the hotel, with outside areas offering spectacular views across the south of the city.
