29th October 2013

Two members of the team at Lincoln-based Shooting Star PR will be in London on Friday (1st November) to give a talk in Whitehall on how to run communications campaigns for Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs).

Director Kate Strawson and Account Manager Cerri Delaney have been invited to the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills to speak to representatives from LEPs across the country.

The LEP Network Communications Event will bring together the Cabinet Office, 10 Downing Street and LEP representatives for a day of information sharing.

The aim is to provide a networking opportunity for LEP communicators, to hear from central government departments and for LEPs themselves to share best practice.

Shooting Star PR has worked with the Greater Lincolnshire LEP since February 2012, providing a comprehensive external communications and stakeholder engagement service.

The agency won the contract after a competitive pitch.

“As an agency we have extensive experience of PR campaigns for the public sector, having also worked for the Greater Lincoln Partnership, Bishop Grosseteste University, the University of Lincoln and onlincolnshire,” said Kate.

“Our task has been to raise the profile of the Greater Lincolnshire LEP, to explain where it’s come from and what it does and to engage with the people and businesses who can benefit from the LEP’s work.”

Kate and Cerri will speak to delegates at the event about how LEP communications can best be managed and delivered using examples of best practice from the Greater Lincolnshire LEP.
