News release

8th October 2013

Two South Wales nurseries are offering a day of arts and crafts for parents looking for a pre-school place for their child.

Daisy Day Nursery in Barry and Llanishen, Cardiff will open its doors on Thursday 17th October, offering parents an opportunity to look around, meet staff members and participate in craft workshops alongside their children.

Daisy Day Nursery caters for children from nought to five who are treated to a safe, clean and comfortable teaching environment where an emphasis is put on healthy eating and learning through play.

Activities are shaped by current curriculum guidelines, but Leah Phillips, Manager of the Llanishen setting, believes that the unique ethos of the nurseries has a profound effect on the development of their children.

“At Daisy Day we believe that a caring and warm environment coupled with a freedom to be creative helps children to build self-confidence and develop their own individuality,” she said.

The open day will run from 10am until 2pm and parents are encouraged to ask questions, explore the spacious rooms and get involved with arts and crafts activities.

“We know parents want to feel a part of their child’s development. That’s why we are committed to keeping them informed through parent focus groups, a daily diary and regular parent’s evenings,” said Cerri Stokes, Manager of the Barry Nursery.

Nursery places are limited; however, any parent who chooses to register their children within seven days of the event will receive a half price discount.
