News Release

11th August 2011

A consulting engineering firm in Peterborough, which has quadrupled in size over the past four years, is expanding once again.

Waldeck, which has nine offices across the UK in total, set up it’s Priestgate branch in 2007 with three members of staff.

Today, however, the Peterborough office is soon to have 20 employees and is working on some major projects including a £210 million Ocado distribution centre in Dordon, North Warwickshire and an £11 million extension to the Queensgate Shopping Centre in Peterborough which will house retail giant Primark’s new 60,000 ft² store.

And as well as recruiting a further three professional design staff the company is relocating to bigger premises.

Waldeck, whose head office is based in Sleaford, Lincolnshire, is also moving it’s new Mechanical and Engineering Consultancy Department from Sleaford to the new office, also on Priestgate.

Director Paul Housego explained: “Despite the difficult economic climate Waldeck has continued to grow year on year and the Peterborough office has played a major role in company’s achievements to date.

“Our success over of the past four years is partly due to Waldeck’s commitment to creativity and its ability to deliver innovative yet commercially viable design solutions but it’s also down to the people who work here.

“The fact that we are expanding once again is testament to their hard work and passion and I’d like to thank my team and our clients as without them we wouldn’t have a business in the first place.”

As well as moving to their new office on 26thAugust, Waldeck will also be exhibiting at the first ever Frozen & Chilled Foods Show 2011 at the EXEC in Peterborough on 14thand 15thSeptember and Paul is keen for anyone involved in the food or logistics industry to get in touch.

Having worked with many of the leading names in the food, storage and logistics industry we are able to offer complete property and process solutions to the cold, chilled and ambient sector,” said Paul.

“If you’re attending the show in the EXEC Exhibition Hall please visit us on stand number G25 to find out more about the wide range of services we offer.”
