Sigma ranked Number One in Sweden's largest procurement of network services and products

Sigma ranked Number One in Sweden's largest procurement of network services and products Sigma has been ranked Number one in the Swedish Agency for Administrative Development and the Swedish Armed Forces' general agreement for the procurement of network products and services. This procurement process is the largest of its kind in Sweden to date and is expected to involve sales of approximately SEK 1 billion over two years, of which Sigma anticipates securing approximately 15 to 20 percent. "Sigma fulfils the requirements better than any other company in the evaluation and has a generous lead at the top of our ranking of systems integrators. The competition was intense, but Sigma has distinguished itself in relation to many larger companies that do not live up to our requirements, such as IBM and Microsoft," says Per-Erik Andersson, project manager for the general agreement for procurement at the Agency for Administrative Development. Nils Boghammar is president of the subsidiary, Sigma Måldata Network Solutions: "This contract and, in particular, our ranking is definitively a feather in our cap. This procurement process should mean that we will now secure more projects within the public administration sector and that we will also become more attractive within the private sector. Now the difficult task begins of also securing public procurement during the contract period." The procurement process was conducted in cooperation with the Agency for Administrative Development and the Defence Matériel Administration, and comprises network products in the form of physical networks and active network and service components, as well as design, project management, installation, monitoring and maintenance. Of the 24 suppliers that were evaluated, 15 companies were selected as suitable general agreement suppliers.
