Sigma signs framework agreement with Gambro - designated priority supplier 2001

Sigma has signed a framework agreement with Gambro Lundia AB for the supply of software development services, business-support systems development, hardware solutions and optimization of product installations. The contract is valid for the year 2001.

For Gambro, this is a matter of streamlining its requirements for outsourcing services in these areas. The initiative has thus been taken for a framework, the essence of which will now be transferred out to operations. The new framework agreement will apply generally for the three companies that will result from Sigma's approaching division by business areas. The Gambro contract primarily concerns the subsidiaries, Sigma Exallon Information which will be part of the new Sigma AB, Sigma Teknik, which is now a company within Epsilon, and Teleca Exallon AB and Benima, which are part of Teleca. Jan Sjöberg, responsible for the contract on Gambro's behalf says: "Sigma has been represented at many departments within Gambro for a long time and we have positive experiences of the most common software programming and general software support services. This cooperation will now be intensified further. Framework agreements involve a far simpler and more efficient form of tender while the broader selection of expertise that Sigma now offers Gambro is also positive. New Sigma AB, which is based on a business area within the former Sigma Group, focuses on digital business-supporting consulting services to development-intensive customers in a global economy. Services are provided through three business areas: Business Solutions, IT Solutions and Network & Wireless Solutions. The new Group has about 1,300 employees at 35 niche subsidiaries in Sweden and several other countries ( The former Sigma AB (publ) changed name on June 12, 2001 to Teleca AB (publ), which is listed on the O-List of the Stockholm Exchange. Teleca is comparable to the former Embedded Solutions business area within Sigma. During a transition period, new Sigma AB is included within Teleca as an independent subsidiary group. Sigma AB will be spun off after summer 2001 and be a separately listed company on the O-List.
