Sigma takes over department from Entra – enhances data-storage solutions for banking and finance
Sigma is taking over a department from Entra AB, which is part of the TietoEnator Group. This department consists of five employees who are specialists in data-storage solutions. Sigma and Entra are simultaneously initiating a partnership for advanced data-storage solutions in banking and finance. "Sigma is now strengthening its position in Stockholm, and acquiring additional expertise in this field," says Arne Andersson, President of Sigma SystemPartner AB.
As data volumes increase, there is a growing need for data-storage solutions and access to information that is crucial for business operations. Sigma's subsidiary, Sigma SystemPartner AB, is noting increased demand for services in this area, and will now strengthen its position as a result of cooperation with Entra. Entra is a subsidiary of the TietoEnator Group. Entra has decided to focus on its core operation - developing solutions for banking and finance. This is the reason for the divestment of the data-storage solutions department. "Now we want to focus on developing our services in the banking and financial sectors. Our partnership with Sigma will gives us access to their broad and strong range of products. Sigma's geographical expansion is also in line with Entra's plans," says Börje Berg, business area manager at Entra Infrastructure Solutions AB. Sigma SystemPartner regards the takeover of the data-storage solutions department and cooperation with Entra as a further step in its emphasis on data-storage solutions and infrastructure services. Earlier this year, Sigma acquired NCL Systems, with operations in Växjö and Stockholm. Sigma gained considerable personnel skills and expertise as a result of this transaction, including Enterprise Storage Management. Sigma is a leading supplier of consulting services in the areas of e-solutions, embedded solutions and engineering solutions. The Group, which has some 3,000 employees in 11 countries, focuses on solutions for interaction, innovation and integration. Sigma's guiding principle is to strengthen its customers' competitiveness and brands.
