A’s Fans Who Recycle Cellphones Receive Two-for-One Ticket Vouchers
Sims Recycling Solutions, the global leader in electronics reuse and recycling, and the Oakland Athletics are partnering to provide convenient cellphone recycling for A’s fans. For every cellphone dropped off for recycling, A’s fans will receive a two-for-one ticket voucher to an upcoming game and Sims Recycling Solutions will make a donation to the A’s Community Fund.
Collection bins will be located at the Guest Relations Booth behind section 120 at all Friday, Saturday, and Sunday home games.
“We are excited to build some momentum with this program by continuing cell phone recycling services at the O.co Coliseum for the second year in a row,” stated Steve Skurnac, president of Sims Recycling Solutions. “This program is a great way to benefit the environment and community through promotion of the recycling of these devices along with contributing to the A’s Community Fund.”
The Oakland A’s Community Fund supports charitable organizations in improving the quality of life for people throughout the Bay Area. Specifically, the Fund supports endeavors to improve educational programs, aid the underprivileged, assist in crime and drug prevention, promote health awareness, and champion children and senior welfare.
