CST Global leads the ground-breaking project for developing next generation network security

CST Global, a wholly owned subsidiary of Sivers IMA Holding AB and the UK’s leading, independent, III-V opto-electronic, semiconductor foundry is announcing their leading role in the GaSb/GaAs Quantum Ring Single Photon LED (QR_SPLED) project. The QR_SPLED project seeks to mass-produce low-cost, single-photon LEDs (SPLEDs); a critical technology step in the development of commercially viable, next generation, intrinsic, network security. 

Thomas Slight, research engineer at CST Global is the project leader and Dr Manus Hayne from the Department of Physics at Lancaster University is the academic partner on the QR_SPLED project.

The QR-SPLED project led by CST Global is UK government funded through Innovate UK and the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC), in the framework of the UK National Quantum Technologies Programme, has a been granted £252,649 and runs from March 2017 until February 2018.
