Invitation to media: Skangas is pleased to invite You to the Naming Ceremony of the first ice class 1A super liquefied natural gas LNG vessel

ON THURSDAY 25 JAN 10.00 AT THE PORT OF TURKU, FINLAND

(ENTRANCE OF THE GATE PORT: HUOLINTAKATU 4 – TURKU ).

LNG is the most environmentally friendly shipping fuel. In addition to shipping, LNG can replace many of the oil-based fuels for industry, heavy transport and energy production.

The availability of the energy efficient and clean LNG plays an important role in the transition towards a carbon-neutral society. Gasum is developing the

Nordic LNG market actively with its subsidiary Skangas. Finland’s first LNG import terminal was opened in Pori in August 2016. The new LNG terminal in Tornio will be operational in 2018. When operational, it will be the Nordic’s biggest import terminal.

Coral EnergICE will start to ship LNG to Pori and Tornio terminals in Finland.

In the naming ceremony you will have the opportunity to visit the vessel and attend a lunch in Turku Castle (Linnankatu 80).
