Daniel Johannesson leaves Swedish State Railways, joins Skanska's executive management Daniel Johannesson has been named Executive Vice President at Skanska and a member of corporate management, the Senior Executive Team, where he will mainly be responsible for the Group's continued strategic focus on the telecom and facilities management segments. Daniel Johannesson, 58, joins Skanska from serving as Director General of the Swedish State Railways (SJ). A graduate of the School of Economics in Gothenburg and the Harvard Business School in Boston, Daniel Johannesson has more than 30 years of experience as an industry executive at Billerud AB, Halmstad Järnverk AB, Fagersta AB, Industriförvaltnings AB Kinnevik and the telecom companies Telenordia AB in Sweden and Telenor Bedrift A/S, Oslo, Norway. "We welcome Daniel Johannesson to Skanska. His knowledge and experience will be a valuable addition to the Group," says Claes Björk, Skanska's President and CEO. "I have noted Skanska's expansive involvement in new markets and new market segments and its focused transformation into a modern service company. It will be exciting to be part of developing this further," says Daniel Johannesson, who assumes his new position in mid-August.
