Skanska’s Senior Executive Team, SET, is strengthened by the addition of Christel Åkerman, who is currently responsible for Risk Management at Skanska. She will join the SET immediately and will assume responsibility for Risk Management, Ethics, Green and Corporate Community Investment. This change will entail a further strengthening of the Group’s focus on efforts relating to Risk Management and Ethics.

Christel Åkerman, who is a qualified lawyer, has worked at Skanska since 1994 in a variety of positions in Sweden and in Skanska’s international operations. For the past eight years, Christel has worked at Skanska AB, devoting two of these years to the upgrade of the ethics activities and six years with Risk Management.

“Christel is a strong and appreciated leader with long experience from many areas of our business, in which she has driven successful change processes,” says Johan Karlström, President and CEO of Skanska. “Christel has an unfailing ethical compass and experience of our ethics work. She has been instrumental in the further development of the Group’s Risk Management and she has also ensured that we have raised the level of risk expertise in our Business Units.”

The work has commenced to recruit a new Senior Vice President of the Group Staff Unit Risk Management.
