Skanska expands road in eastern Poland for PLN 335 M, about SEK 750 M

Skanska has signed a contract with General Directorate of Public Roads and Motorways in Poland for an expansion of National Road No 8. The contract is worth PLN 335 M, about SEK 750 M, and will be included in the order bookings for Skanska Poland for the first quarter of 2016.

The expansion refers to a 13 km stretch between Wyszków and the border of Podlaskie Voivodship. The contract includes construction of the express road, three road junctions, crossings and viaducts, as well as passages for animals.

The construction work will begin within 30 days and is expected to be completed in July 2018.

Skanska Poland, one of the largest construction companies in Poland, had sales of more than 10 billion SEK in 2014. The company today has about 7,750 employees. Skanska Commercial Development, Residential Development and Infrastructure Development are also active in Poland.
