Skanska invests about SEK 250M to increase the capacity of BoKlok's factory in Gullringen, Sweden. The remodeling and expansion of the factory will take place gradually between 2018 and 2020.

The investment primarily concerns increased capacity, efficiency and automation. Among other things, a new assembly hall will be built and a state-of-the-art production line will be installed, according to the principles of Lean Production. Production capacity will increase by almost 50 percent and the investment is expected to create about 50 new job opportunities.

BoKlok is a housing concept developed by Skanska and IKEA. The company builds around 1,200 homes a year and has so far built 10,000 homes for the many people. BoKlok is responsible for the entire value chain; product and project development, factory manufacturing and sales, construction and customer relations. BoKlok has about 400 employees in Sweden, Norway and Finland.
