Skanska signs new tenant lease at Capitol Tower in Houston, Texas, USA

Skanska has signed a 15-year lease with Winston & Strawn LLP for 5,800 square meters at its Capitol Tower office development in Houston, Texas, USA. The law firm will take occupancy in 2020. With this transaction, the office portion of the building is now 81 percent leased.

Currently under construction, Capitol Tower is a 35-story office tower in a prime downtown Houston location with about 70,000 square meters of office space and 2,400 square meters of retail space. The office is the first project in Texas to reach LEED v4 Platinum precertification from the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). The building will use 25 percent less energy than typical facilities.

Skanska began construction in April 2017 and expects to complete construction in the second quarter of 2019.
