Skanska has signed a partnering agreement with Lundbergs to build 392 rental apartments in Norrköping, Sweden. The contract is worth about SEK 560 million, which will be included in the order bookings for Skanska Sweden for the fourth quarter of 2015.

In total there are 11 houses, which have been designed by Skanska in close cooperation with Lundbergs. The houses will be between six and eight stories high with underground parking.

The intention is that the new buildings will be environmentally certified according to Green Building Silver. Key focus areas are energy efficiency, ventilation and indoor environment. Through individual metering of hot water it is possible for the tenants to influence their monthly fee.

Construction is scheduled to begin in December 2015, depending on the final building permit. Completion is planned in different phases starting in 2018 and by the end of 2019 the last house will be ready for occupancy.
