Skanska to construct motorway in Finland for EUR 45, about SEK 400 M

Skanska has signed a contract with the Finnish Transport Agency to transform Highway 8 between Raisio and Nousiainen in Finland into a motorway. The contract value is about EUR 45 M, about SEK 400 M, which will be included in order bookings for Skanska Finland in first quarter 2014. 

The project covers approximately 9 kilometers of highway and entails the construction of 4 kilometers of new motorway and 5 kilometers of a new lane beside the current road. Furthermore, 16 new bridges will be built on the road section.

Construction work will begin in February 2014, and the actual contract period will end at the end of October 2016.
