Long-term relationship continues to be successful

Gothenburg, Sweden, 27 March 2014: SKF has been awarded the Technical cooperation Award by Goldwind, the largest manufacturer of wind turbines in China and among the largest globally. The award was received during Goldwind’s Annual Supplier Conference.

Jiming Zhu, President SKF China says, “This is an important recognition of the commitment on innovating and delivering new technologies and services that we offer to the market. It also shows SKF's long term commitment to supporting our customers by providing high quality products and solutions, as well as contributing to a sustainable community.”

“Being one of the leading bearing suppliers  for Goldwin’s mainshaft, SKF has maintained close communication and cooperation with Goldwind’s technical team over the years and has been a major contributor to several of Goldwind’s new strategic new projects being developed in 2014 and 2015,” says Wu Kai, Executive Vice President of Goldwind.

Goldwind and SKF have worked closely together for many years which has resulted in advanced technology being developed at the same time as the demand for the clean energy provided by wind turbines has rapidly increased in China. During 2013, SKF has been fully involved in the development of Goldwind’s 1.5MW, 2.0MW, 2.5MW and 3.0MW main shaft bearing for wind turbines. SKF products and solutions delivered to Goldwind include bearings, WindCon condition monitoring, seals, lubrication systems and lubricants.
