SoftRock’s Kelly Romero Named Finalist for C-Level Award

Kelly Romero, Chief Operating Officer of SoftRock, has been named as a finalist for the Orlando Business Journal’s C-Level Awards in the Large Company category and winners will be recognized at the June 8th awards event.

The C-Level Awards recognize Central Florida’s top CFOs, CIOs, and COOs who have made a substantial impact on their company and the community. Ms. Romero has been a key contributor to SoftRock’s success as it has grown from a dozen employees to a multimillion dollar enterprise with 300 employees.  She spends her free time giving back to the Orlando community through various charitable work. 

SoftRock, an Orlando software company, was founded in 2005 and Ms. Romero was the fourth employee hired serving as the Affiliate Supervisor. After attending an Ad-Tech conference in 2006 with the company founder she began to understand the scope of the industry and SoftRock’s potential. In 2007 she created a new division at SoftRock, adding to the growth of the company and soon became the Vice President of Technology overseeing the IT and design teams in 2008. In January of 2011 she moved into her new role as Chief Operations Officer and became an equity partner in SoftRock. As COO overseeing technology, design, and product development her goal is to build world-class products that bring people and businesses together. 

Ms. Romero has a love for animals and children and is a regular volunteer with Florida Little Dog Rescue and Give Kids the World. Other causes and organizations she has contributed to include Relay for Life, Race for the Cure and Orange County Schools.

The C-Level Awards Luncheon will take place Friday, June 8th at Full Sail University where finalists will be recognized and the winners will be announced.
